About Me

I studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, becoming qualified as a practitioner of both acupuncture as well as naturopathy. Additionally I become Tui na therapist , which enabled me to provide a truly holistic service with a broader view of each patient’s unique needs.

My academic background and interest in holistic, integrative health, which means that I can provide additional patient advice on diet, the Bach Flowers Remedy system, cupping and healing tissue salts. This allows me to offer my patients added value alongside their acupuncture or Tui na treatment. I take the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and provide a full, effective combination of therapies to produce the desired results.

My mission

My mission is to help you to find a healthier, more balanced and happier lifestyle. I work with each patient to understand their unique needs and state of health and then create a tailored programme of acupuncture and associated therapies to help achieve defined goals. I work with each patient on a bespoke and individual basis, progressing in partnership so that we achieve each health goal together, regardless of the starting point.

My own experiences

I have seen first hand the profound benefits that acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine can offer to patients. I experienced health problems of my own which were not being treated effectively with conventional medicine. I discovered acupuncture and rapidly began to experience genuine wellness again as my body started to heal itself and channel its own natural power and strength. At the time, the skills that my own therapist was using, and the systems that she was describing, seemed both fascinating and mysterious, so I decided to study it for myself! The more that I learned, the more I could see that conventional treatments are largely ineffective when approaching health and wellness problems – seeking to apply chemical ‘patches’ to isolated problems, rather than viewing the body and mind in an integrated, holistic system.

My passion for these ancient healing systems has guided me to become a qualified practitioner myself, and I am profoundly grateful to be in a position where I can share these benefits with my clients. So many people desperately search for solutions to their medical problems and fail to find specialists who can give them answers. I am proud to be able to offer an ancient therapy which speaks for itself – so much so that my profession is also my passion and a way of life. It is a gift to practice that I know helps other people and makes their lives richer, easier and happier.

My credentials

I am a full member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) which is the biggest regulatory body for practicing traditional acupuncturists in the UK. At all times in my work I carefully follow the codes of safe practice and professional conduct as laid down by the Council. I am fully qualified to practice  in my fields of therapy. I am also fully insured to perform acupuncture and Tui na.
